Æftergenga is an Anglo-Saxon, Old English, term that translates to “aftercomer” or “successor.” It refers to someone who comes after another, particularly in terms of lineage or succession. In a broader sense, it can also symbolise the passing of time and generations.

Æftergenga is what we think Hans Zimmer might sound like if he was scoring a film set in the Anglo-Saxon years, the time between the departure of the Romans and the arrival of the Norse peoples here in what is now England.
